I created 4 new recurring report jobs last week which runs a report every Saturday morning and sends to a distribution list of users in my company. The funny thing is when I checked if the reports ran successfully I noticed that every one of them ran twice and the instance times show as the exact same times for both instances. So everyone on the list got 2 carbon copies of each report.

Does anyone out there have any reason why 2 reports were run for each recurring job?

When a recurring report runs, a new instance of the schedule is also created.. is this what you are seeing?

No,
Two instances of the report were run at the exact same time and were emailed out to the distribution lists.

We had the same issue at some point in our CE10 environment. What it did is taht everytime one recurring instance ran, it recreated in double. Thus the next time it ran twice, then 4 times, then 8 and so forth...

How we fixed it:

We planned some down time, plugged our CMS on a new blank database, tested the environment by publishing a dummy report, it now worked fine. We the brought the CMS back on the original database and everytnig was now fine there as well. We opened a ticket with BO tech support, but they couldn't really explain how this ended up fixing the problem... Try it, it might work for you too...

This happened only the first time. I can't really explain it but it has been running fine on a weekly basis for about a month now.

Thanks,
