So here is my problem, and its really tough to describe. Firstly, it all started when I was playing World of Warcraft and all of a sudden strange triangles appeared and the polygons were all screwed up. After that I rebooted my computer which resutled in everything being screwed up. My regular desktop now looks like this: ftp://xander7:zander@members.rogers.com you can look at the untitled.bmp or techissue.jpg for a screen shot since its really hard to explain. Thanks for your time and help.

P.S. I have all the latest drivers and whatnot.

Sounds like a damaged GPU, is the cooling fan seizing up?
Have you tried to overclock the card?

Never got this with my 9600 but I saw something similar with the 9100, playing Halo. The only way to get rid of it has been to reduce the graphics options in the menus. WofW is quite a recent game. You may see patches coming for this. Have you sent them a bug report? Is there a demo of WofW, I could try it on my 9600XT.

I don't think it has to do with the game. I am leaning more towards the fact that I think my card is bad. But it just happened out of the blue. No I hadn't overclocked my card or anything like that. The fan works fine. I think its pretty safe to assume that card is shot. I put it into another computer and the same problem occured. What I am worried about - however - is that perhaps it has done damage to my mobo, or AGP slot. I don't want to shell out the cash money for another card and turn out that I need a new mobo as well.

On another note, do you guys have any suggestions for another video card?

No way to send it back under warranty? A 9600XT is not an outdated card.

Well. First, I don't think its under warrantee. Secondly, I got homefrom work last night after making the command decision to go out and buy a new one. I figured I would just turn on my computer, just to see if it still does it, and to my shagrin - sorta - it works fine. I hadn't touched it since yesterday. I am leary and suspect that the same problem will pop up again. Apparently the video faeries had something to do with it. Who knows....I am going to wait until it happens again before I go out and shell out the cash money for a new card. It is SO WIERD though.
