I am attempting to load a secured MS Access 2000 Database. I open the MS Access App, click file, open, select the file, type the correct username and password and nothing happens. By this I mean that there is no evidence that an MDB file has loaded.
The 'Windows' Drop down is completely greyed out, and everything is as if I had just closed a database file.
I have tried compact & repair, it does nothing after I click on the file.
I have tried to Import the objects into another MDB file, it again doesn't register.

Does anyone have any Idea what could be causing this and/or how to fix?

Cheers.

It depends on how it was secured, if it is user level permissions, you need to have the workgroup file for that database, and join that workgroup. If the database is secured with a database password, it may be damaged, I have read it can be damaged if a secured database gets opened with word. Also, there may be something strange in the startup for the database, hold down the shift key to bypass startup functions. Other than that, I would have to see the database to tell you whats what...

Hope that helps..
