We have a 2616 symposium agent set that has a lamp that will not go out. We checked the octel and verified that there is only one mailbox associated with the extension. The set also had a AWC key which I removed but the light is still solid. Can the symposium be sending a light for some reason?

NO, put a MCK and MIk on your phone and use the MCK to cancel the light

mck key does not seem to put the light out. We checked the octel to see if it was an extension on another mailbox or if it had other extensions associated with it and it only comes up in one place in the octel.Very strange??

try the phone on another port. then verify it's not just a bad tn. maybe it's not as complicated as you think.

Assuming you mean the red light...

If this is an ACD phone, identify one DN on the phone that appears only once in the system - does not appear on any phone but the one with the errant light. If you have to add a DN, go for it.

Use the MCK Key against THAT extension to try to extinguish the lamp.

Yes it is the red light. Key 1 is her main extension and this only appears on her desk phone and her 2050 softphone. I will double check the extensions though next week. Thanks.

I removed the dn from the 2050 set and the MCK key worked. Thanks for the help.
