I have a 56kbps chameleon audio/modem that will connect to ISP's (I've tried AOL and Bellsouth). I can use normal AOL services. However, web browsers (I've tried AOL's IE, Netscape and IE) won't work. It won't allow me to connect to services such as AIM either. Any suggestions? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated; thanks in advance.

Nothing to do with the modem. It's ALL got to do with Windows settings, and probably DNS servers.
There's too much wrong with the way AOL takes over your system, go back to AOL4, and it will probably work.
The fix I've always used, was to remove ALL networking properties, then sign up with a REAL ISP. Cheers,
Jim
