I've been seeing some strange entries in the history file since moving to the S8500. On one of the gateways, I see the following:

7/06 11:52 003V412 psa-ipd cha station 1553
7/06 11:52 S00064 psa-ipu cha station 1553
7/06 11:43 S00064 psa-ipa cha station 1553
7/06 11:43 003V412 psa-ipu cha station 1553

This extension 1553 is a regular digital phone (2410). Sometimes the S00064 code varies S00060, 59, 58...), but the port and set are constant. I am wondering what psa-ipd indicates, and what is the activity...

fortunate2001,

psa is personal station administration. i guess someone is moving his extension from a digital phone to an ip phone. the most likely cause is an user logging in and out of his/her softphone.

That sounds right, this particular user is one who would be trying out a softphone.

Thanks.

fortunate2001,

well, put a finger in the sky and got a hit. i'm fortunate today. :)))
