Hello,

Can anyone help? I have a website whose layout is totally created using CSS. A weird thing is happening, sometimes the text loads up below each other, but if you refresh the page it goes back to normal. Fow example

Terms & Conditions

Becomes

Terms &
Conditions

It does this for both text in <li> tags and through whole peices of text.

Anyone know why this may be happening, is it something to do with the stylesheet not loading properly? It doesn't always happen but often enough to be annoying!

Thanks in advance,

Katherine

sounds like something hasn't loaded fully by the time the page has rendered. Is your page particularly large, large style sheet perhaps, lots of graphics?

Have you specified the width/height of all your images?

Impossible to say without seeing the site. Post a link and we will see. When you post the link, please let us know which browser/OS the problem is appearing.

Thanks for this!

Here is the link to one of the pages I notice it happening on most often (in this case in the side menu on the left but other pages its in the main text too!):

It happens in IE but it works perfectly on Firefox!

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Katherine

It looks fine for me in both browsers. Is your computer the only computer that exhibits this behaviour? If you've not noticed it anywhere else, it could be something specific to your PC, rather than a glitch on the site.

Hello again,

I have tried it on another computer and it works fine, but I have now had an email from the client saying that they have noticed it!

If this is to do with the time taken for the stylesheet to load, is there any way I can speed it up?

Thanks,

Katherine
