From time to time we'll have a user who cannot make or receive calls from their IP phone (i2050 or i2004) the call will be immediately disconnected. We'll see the error ERR008 8 0 0 5 72 0 0 26 72 0 0 26 pop up on the PBX (a different TN each time though). The only way to resolve this is to move the phone to a different TN. Also, the error continues to pop up randomly (even after moving the phone to a new TN) until we reset the TMDI card. Has anybody else ran into this issue? Is it a signaling server or TMDI card issue by chance?

Looks to me like a problem with a VGMC card. Check the second TN and see if it happens on the same card. It is not a set issue.

Here is the error

ERR0008 tn1 tn2 Call drop due to IPTN failure.
TN1 - PTN
TN2 - VTN

ERR008 tn1 tn2
Call drop due to IPTN failure

TN1 - PTN
TN2 - VTN

Severity: Major

If the problem is always cleared by resetting the TMDI card, you may have a bad TMDI card. It not, there may be a patch for this.

I would definately report this to your equipment vendor.

I just finish upgrade a rls 25.40 opt.11c to CS1000E with cppm and mgc and i had same error err008.
Solution: Uograde loadware in MGC to MGCCAD40.LW and DSP2AA10.LW.

You have to install them in PDT..if you dont know then call your vendor.

Thanks 9201 I will have to call my vendor to get the updated loadware.
