Does not look like there is much activity out here, but I'll try anyhow...
About 1 year ago I started getting some strange garble when I printed a specific Quark file (created in XPress for Windows 3.32). I tried simplifying the file, eliminating .tif files, reducing the number of fonts, starting a whole new file... no success. The problem seemed to "infect" files I created thereafter, although not always. I eventually increased the amount of memory in my printer, got an entire new computer (but still use some old Quark files, fonts, picture files...) and I still have the problem. I only get the garble when I print out of Quark, and it does not matter if the file is large or small, but it does seem to be worse with a larger file. The garble looks sort of like postscript "stuff": vertical lines scattered over the document of varying length and thickness.
Any ideas?
