We are running Domino Server 5.0.2c. We found several picture files in places they should not be. There were 167 jpg and gif files located in the d:\Lotus\Domino\ directory. This pictures had a file name of "pic" + 5digit num + file extension. This pictures ranged from obscene material to inspriational pictures. Also the date created on all of them are either in January or May. And also, some of the pictures are the same. They basically look like picutures that come in the junk forwards.

Has anybody else seen or experienced this? Any ideas as to why it would happen?

Maybe someone is using the Notes client as browser, and has fallen upon unclean sites.
If so, I would imagine that what you found on the server was the cache Domino uses to avoid redownloading existing data.

Pascal.

Would this apply to any body browsing w/ the Notes browser from any client? Or do you think the user would have to be on that computer. I ask because nobody uses the client that is loaded on that machine. Thanks for that suggestion.

Any user browsing from a Notes client will send the requests to the server - so every file every user accesses will potentially be cached on the server.
I do not think there is a way to tell what file came from what request (or which machine).

Pascal.
