The cluster verification completes normally.

But during startup I get following errors in hacmp.out:

cl_fscsilunreset[939]: ioctl SCIOLSTART id=0X643F13 lun=0X4061000000000000: Invalid argument

Any idea?

Looks like HACMP5.4 and EMC:

EMC has developed a binary called "emcpowerreset" for removing disk
reservations held by a PowerPath devices, in the event that a node
crashes. This binary is required for any HACMP installation on AIX
when running PowerPath ver 3.0.3 and higher.
.
This binary can be obtained from EMC. The Readme alongwith this binary
has all the necessary implementation details.

hmmm... I found this binary on both cluster nodes:

# ls -al /usr/lpp/EMC/Symmetrix/bin/emcpowerreset
-r-xr--r-- 1 root system 10311 Aug 25 2005 /usr/lpp/EMC/Symmetrix/bin/emcpowerreset

# cksum /usr/lpp/EMC/Symmetrix/bin/emcpowerreset
1955156125 10311 /usr/lpp/EMC/Symmetrix/bin/emcpowerreset

# lslpp -w /usr/lpp/EMC/Symmetrix/bin/emcpowerreset
File Fileset Type
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
/usr/lpp/EMC/Symmetrix/bin/emcpowerreset
EMC.Symmetrix.aix.rte File

# lslpp -L EMC.Symmetrix.aix.rte
Fileset Level State Type Description (Uninstaller)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
EMC.Symmetrix.aix.rte 5.2.0.3 C F EMC Symmetrix AIX Support
Software

The cluster is run on HACMP 5.3.

Any other idea?

thx in advance!

Same here, I meant to ask this question earlier but caught up in another issue...
