Strange entrex Transfer Problem

We are using outbound Centrex transfer and a NAM 4.0 with AA. We have to telco providers Embarq and COX digital via modem.

We program press off 7 within the mailbox and have #XXX-XXXX programmed to send call to a cell.

It works ok when we use the copper Embarq CO lines. But when the call is using the COX lines it seems that the dialing is not waiting for a full dial tone after it flashes the line. Then the calls just drops.

I used a test set to monitor and the copper lines Flash,Pause then dial out ok.

The COX lines do not wait for the dial tone afert the flash.

We have to use two seperate providers due to regulations in our industry.

Is there any way to change the timming during the dialing for example when a Flash is performed or after the number is dialed?

Our SW is R1T1 with a NAM 4.0

This is being done all on 1 system. Lines 1 - 6 then another group 1-3

I'm not sure on 4.0 but with a NAM 2.0, settng up an off prem notfication I was able to put a pound after the phone number.

After the # put in a 4 (wait for dial tone) in your number string. So #4xxx-xxxx.

That solved the problem. The PAUSES give the COX network time to catch up.
