Setup: Just upgraded 0x32 to 7.1 and installed new call pilot
100 from t1 rls1 and startalk.
Problem: After a caller leaves a voice mail message and user
plays it back he hears dial tone immediately after the caller hangs up for about 3-4 seconds. I can hear it with test set on MDF and a test call.
I have turned DS on and off and tried various disc. timers so far. Any ideas?
Thanks for your time

If you have SUPY set to YES make it NO

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

You may also want to put a butt set on your CO's to see if you hear the disconnect signal. If not, call the telco. This is really common with voip lines.

Thanks for the responses.
I have tried it with supervision turned on and off and still same problem. The strange part is I did not have this trouble with the old software and startalk
Thanks again

just because you have dissconnect turned on in the system does not mean that you are getting the signal from the CO. Make a test call to a phone on the system from an outside line. Then hang up the outside line while the person on the system stays on the phone. If the line does not drop within a second or so then odds are your not receiveng Supervision.

You may have to change the supervision timer up or down to correct this problem. I have had this problem on long co loops where the telco says the supervision is there it just slow because it's at the end of the line. This is usually in the rual areas it happens.
