Name: An application (*) generated an application error
Description: The application, , generated an application error The error occurred on 02/23/2005 @ 00:09:47.611 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 00955724 (vf_objidcmp)
Domain:
Agent:
Time: 2/23/2005 00:09:48
---------------------
The dump generated a list of applications and their connected PID's. While the application wasn't mentioned in the error, this PID was: - 5444
The PID is attached to a process called 'bpfis.exe' which appears to be a Veritas Netbackup Process.
---------------
The same issue occurred a week prior, at about the same time. +/- 3 min:
Application exception occurred:
App: (pid=2952)
When: 2/16/2005 @ 00:12:51.255
Exception number: c0000005 (access violation)
The PID, again, was associated with 'bpfis.exe'
---------------
The other interesting piece is the error carries a '4097' event ID, indicating a Dcom+ issue. I had initially thought there might be an error with odbc/sql and it's call to the backup server via sql.
