Im using a DSL router to connect a buch of machines to the internet, xp and linux. The latest being a xp machine (relpaced a 2000 machine), it seemed to be working fine, just used to browse the internet and email. Then just this morning it wouldn't bring up any pages that people wanted to look at or check the email? After a bit of playing I found that there were some sites that could be displayed by typing in the URL and I could connect to all using an IP (i.e. 216.239.33.101 would bring up the google web page, would not, but would bring up the linux page?!?!?!).

It seems like it will resolve new names but not names that have been visited befor a certain point in time. Does that make sence?

I have tried playing with the DNS settings, firewall is off and all that.

If anyone has encountered this or knows what to do please help!
