We have a user getting phone calls by others saying he is calling them when he has not. This goes on during the day and at night. We have checked the phone and the keys are not stuck. We have also checked all cdp entries in our main switch to make sure our NXXs are not duplicated with his number. We have contacted our CO and that number does not live on any other trunk, and we do not have that number built but in one of our switches. Any ideas, places to look, or to verify if it is actually his set?

thanks for the help

Do you OTM or some other call detail recording software? If so you should be able to pull reports on digits dialed.

I do not have OTM at that site. i though about routing the calls across out tie line to the main switch instead of out the local PRIs at that building and capturing the calls that way.

If this is becoming a nusance type of problem you may have to do that.

could be a remote notification that is "stupid".. clid only works to the trunk.. so if your tie is external then check the clid table in the remote switch.. also check the tie route for idc yes.. prt that idc table in 49.. couple of things to think about.. unless your users drink on the job, something in software is dislpaying his dn, other then his phone..

i had a simular problem at a paper mill, to make it worse the office was locked when the user was killed on the job. but he called people all the time and hung up.. people did think it was a ghost.. it was a remote notification from a secondary vendor.. if you didn't respond your voice mail page, the mail tried to call the station, that dn also appeared on his phone so as a backup non-did, so it showed his name.. it must have been doing it before the accident, but after he was gone.. i almost had to camp out there until i found it

Print his TNB and look at his KEY 0 xxxx ? The ? is the CLID that will be sent from his phone. Maybe someone else has a CLID set to there phone with his EXT number.
