New to the forums. I'm hoping that I will be able to provide my help as well as receive help from this great source of information.
I have a client who is running Attachmate Extra! 8.0. When they try to create a new SSH connection, the connection wizard crashes the system. After selecting the connection type (telnet, SSH), the computer hangs and they need to kill the Attachmate process.
I tried sending them an Attachmate session, hoping that I would be able to help them bypass the connection setup all together. I found something peculiar doing this. In the settings, my client isn't able to select the "connections" category. Doing so will crash the system.
We have tried booting to safe-mode, disabling virus software, reinstalling the program - nothing works. I am starting to run out of ideas, and hope that perhaps this error was something someone has encountered and fixed before. The machine my client is using is WinXP Home Edition, 2.26Ghz Intel P4, with 256 megs of RAM. Is there a minimum memory requirement for Attachmate?
