Strange characters appear when people read my email

Outlook 2002.

Here is an example:

"Yes, lets plan to go on Friday morning. Ive asked to""

Obviously, appears perfectly normal on my end, but several recipients have had oddness appear.

Does Outlook 2002 have any encoding issues?

I do not know if there is some common issue on the recips' end that might help to explain.

It's probably related to encoding, but could be simply due to the font that you're writing with. When this happens, start by copying & pasting the exact same text into a new message. Then change the formatting to 'plain text' & send. This should not have the unknown characters. If this works, repeat in HTML format with a basic font like Arial.
