Strange changes to co-ordinates

How come so often if I RMB on a field to change its x-coordinate to, say, 1.10, it actually does 1.09?

On a similar note, if I do the same RMB to change the x-coordinate, then the height decreases by 0.01 each time. I think this can happen for any of the items in the dialog box.

This is making very detailed placement of fields in my report a chore to say the least.

I normally use 'snap to grid'. Have you tried that?

No, I don't want to do that. I want complete control of where my fields go.

Outside of my experience. Can anyone else help?

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
It's a problem that makes one wonder about one's own sanity.

An easy work-around, I must say.

And, we may be upgrading our CR in the coming months. Good to know that this problem is gone after XI.

Actually, it isn't gone after XI. That article was written before CR 2008 and the problem is still there. It must be buried deep in complex code making it tough to fix (or maybe not enough people complain).

Too bad. Well, I can still deal with it.
Thanks again.
