Hello All,

I just have a curios question. I have been looking on our company's DNS server and I saw some A host record entries with some number being appended in the end of computer names. For example: When the actual name of the computer is MyComputer, its A record entry in DNS server is MyComputer-1. It's not happening to all the computers in the domain. It happens to just a few of them.

Does any one has any idea what's causing this? What's adding the -1 in the end?

Thanks for any feedback.

sounds like a connection specific DNS suffix is set....
