Hi,
Is there any way to store fractional values like 1/8 in the database. One way is to store in the form of string. We would like to know if there is any data type which supports storing fractional values in DB2.

thanks!

As far as I know, you can only store these as a CHAR string as DB2 does not support fractions in the fashion you require, although I am happy to proved wrong on this.

Not a datatype, no. But why not use two fields to store this? Simple division would return the fractional .....
