Storing application configuration in database

I am building a simple web app and a friend had mentioned to look into storing the application configuration in a database. I do not know anything about this technique.

Please help explain this to me. or send sample snip to help me understand the process.

What do you mean by the application configuration? Maybe your friend could explain what he means to you...

If he means storing the web.config file in a database I recall seeing that in one of my books somewhere. All you needed was the database connection and the rest came from a table.

I remember it had some problems though. I'll see what I can find. I know I saw it.
