Hi!

Is there any way a data file for a DB can be stored on a path other than a local one, i.e., on a network path?

Thanks!

It is technically possible but it is NOT advisable and is not supported.

Just don't do it!!!

Why not?

Let's say you put your .mdf on a network drive. What happens if you lose the connection to that network drive? What happens if they change the network addresses and you no longer have a trusted connection to that drive?
