Stored Procs and Reporting Services

Hi,
I am working reporting services and want to create a dataset containing multiple tables. When in reporting services I am able to set the report datasource to the stored procedure but I am only able to retrieve data from the first table. Is this by design or is there a way I can retrieve more than table from this dataset.
