I have never written a stored procedure before, and I need to write one to trigger an asp script which will run once every day on the server.

How can I go about it?

This would be a better question for the SQL Server forum.

Once you have your trigger working, what I have done in the past is create a VB COM dll that uses the WebBrowser Control. SQL Server kicks of the proper method of my COM object which tells the WebBrowser control to navigate to the asp page I am trying to hit. Any data needed can be passed in the querystring.

SQL Server may be able to hit a web page directly but I have not heard of that. If you find SQL Server can do this, please let us know.

Thanks,

Gabe
