Stored procedure sleep

I got a stored procedure that has 3 update queries.
Because of the size of the updates that takes place, is there a way to say allow a rest interval between each process, so that the earlier process completes properly.

Or slow the process in general to avoid hanging?

If this is all in 1 proc then the 2nd process won't start until the first one is completed anyhow

If you want to put a 10 second delay after each prcess use this
WAITFOR DELAY '000:00:10'
