Can a SQL stored procedure be used as a data source for a Crystal Reports 8.5/9 file, and if so, how do you establish the connection between the report and the procedure?

Please advise.

Thank you.

I'll guess that you mean that you're using MS SQL Server, SQL is a database programming language common to many databases.

Make sure that you turn on the File->Options->Database->Show->Stored Procedures to enable this.

Next time you connect to SQL Server you'll see the SP listed.

Also make sure that the SP only return a single table as a final product, CR is very fussy about that.
