Hi,

is it possible to store the index of a client to
another pool ??

I have a networker-server with a library (pool default)
and a storage-node with a library (pool mddata)

when a client save to the storage-node (pool mddata)then
the save set index will be stored on the networker-server

error, no matching devices;
check storage nodes, devices or pools *

when i label a media for the pool mddata on the networker-
server it is functional.

thanks for your help

Indexes are always stored on the server, you have no choice in that. The server will always want to store the indexes in the same pool as the data was written, you can change this.

The following should work.

In the pool definition there is an option for store index entries, change this from yes to no. I believe this will send the indexes to the default pool on the server.

Actually by default it's the bootstrap that is stored on a local backup device on the backup server.

You can create a pool with the saveset field having the following values:

index:*
bootstrap

Then label some tapes with this new pool. Afer you done this, the indexes for all clients and the bottstrap will be saved on this new pool.
