store.exe entry point not found after post sp3 rollup

hey everyone,

i installed the rollup for sp3, and immediately after the reboot, i got an error saying no entry point could be found for store.exe, so the information store wouldn't start at all. i was able to uninstall the hotfix and get the server up and running again, but there were many fixes in the rollout that i think might've helped my server. does anyone know why it might've not succeeded, or what steps i can take to get it to work properly? thanks.

My guess is that you run Antigen or some other program that replaces ese.dll with a wedge that points to the real dll.
