Hi
I run Exchange 2000 on a PIII 500 mhz with 1 gb of RAM.
I wonder if there is any way to control Store.exe because it is using all of the RAM. Maybe it is supposed to do that!? But i dont wont the computer to use the swap file just the RAM.
Right now the store.exe is up to 723 mb.

Hi Thomas,

Exchange does this by design, using a process called Dynamic Buffer Allocation (i think that is what it is called) If another process needs memory then it reclaims it from store.exe. If you are particularly worried about it set up scheduled tasks at a time with no use to stop and restart the IS.

I asked the same question in the Exchange 5.5 forum. And someone said that you can set the limit in Optimizer.
