StorageTek Model 9712 Self-Test Error Code E116

Can someone please tell me what a flashing "CHK E116" during the startup self-test means? I know it is a "fatal error," I'm just looking for the wound. THANKS!

I finally found someone at StorageTek with a time machine. CHK E116 refers to a read/write head the TCK Card.
