Storagetek barcode labels

I'm having problems printing my own barcode labels for 9840 tapes. At this point the lables I'm creating are being read by the L700 library but they characters are out of order. For example if I have a barcode label printed as "ABC123" it shows up in the library as "123ABC". Any ideas?

The rules for reading and ordering the bar code numbers are configurable to any pattern or order you like so I woulder if you have so odd rules set.
