I am using an STK 9730 Tape Library. There is a DLT tape in one of the tape drives. Does anyone know how to manually remove it from the tape drive? These do not have an operator handle like other DLT drives do. Thanks again for any help.

Hi,

Been a while since I've seen one of these - hope my memory holds!

1. Open the library
2. Press the 'Unload' button on the problem drive.
3. Wait for the 'Operate Handle' button to light
4. Lift the brown(?) handle thing attached to the right hand side of the drive. This is the equivalent of the operator handle on a standard DLT drive. The handle should move upwards and click into place.
5. Pull the tape out.

Hope this helps!
