Hi everyone
I have a storagetek 9714 tape library and I am having some problems utilizing it. My task is to stack the library with a bunch of tapes and basically tar off information ( these tapes are mostly copies of each other). Except, I donot want to use netbackup or lagado because I don't want a header written to the tape. Does anyone have a script that will prompt the tape machine to take a tape from one slot, place it in a drive, tar off information and put it back in the same slot.
