Stopping the junk mails coming to the network and the security aspect 1

Hi All,

Can any one tell me how to get rid of this spamming issue and the facilities available with SUN SOlaris 5.9, which will strengthen the security aspect...Some of my friend are suggesting enabling dnsbl but no idea what's that all about?

Pl put some light on the above issue.

dnsbl = subscribing to the real time blackhole list. The older version is rbl.
This feature is enabled in your sendmail.mc file by doing the following
FEATURE(`dnsbl',`rbl.blackholes.mail-abuse.org')dnl
then recompile your sendmail.mc
m4 /etc/mail/sendmail.mc > /etc/mail/sendmail.cf
Restart sendmail
You can also implement the access database in the sendmail.mc by doing this
FEATURE(`access_db')
and then using the following in your access file
xyz.com REJECT
remember to rebuild your access database
makemap hash /etc/mail/access.db < /etc/mail/access
and restart sendmail
This lets you filter on a domain, sub domain or user level.
