I'm a newb to flash, sorry for what must be a basic question.

When two objects overlap each other Flash by default subtracts from the underneath shape, so that when I move the top shape away, the bottom is cut out.

How do I stop thsi fom happening?

Thanks!

Put each shape in a different layer of the timeline then they won't intersect.

I thought about doing that - but thought there must be a simpler way.

No such luck, huh?
