Hello,
I am running bind 9.2.1 on a redhat 9.0 box.
When changes are made to any zones I stop and restart named
with /etc/rc.d/init.d/named stop then start
when I do this though I am shown, on the console, that named shutdown failed. Then it restarts with an OK and a new pid number telling me that it really did shutdown and restarted.
The messages in /var/log/messages shows "named: named shutdown failed"
I need to know what I am doing incorrectly to make this happen
