Hello,

Is there a way to stop a user from changing their preferences in crystal enterprise client web pages?
I don't want them changing the initial view folder or current time zone, view type from DHTML etc

I'm using CE 10.

I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't find it in search.

We are also going to XI r2 in a few months so does it have a way of doing this too?

Many thanks,
Bren

I think you can do this in CE-10, but I don't recall where (it's been a while)....

In BOE-XI (R2), you go into the following in CMC ->
Home -> BusinessObjects Enterprise Applications ->
InfoView

If you UNCHECK the box -

Display: Show "Preferences" button

It will remove the Preferences Option from InfoView for ALL users.

Thanks.
Theres an 'Applications' display in CE10 but for some reason it's giving me IP blocked even though I've enabled it and it works for the other pages (accessing it from local server too) :(
