hey ya'll..

I got ARCserve 2000 running on Windows 2000 and I'm trying to get rid of a job that says it's active but the result says canceled!! So it's not really doing anything except making me mad..

I've tryed restarting the service, rebooting the machine, ejecting/reentering a tape, along with trying to delete it too..

Anyone know how I can get rid of this job that's stuck in there??

Hi
1-Stop the Job Engine
2-from job Status find the job ID
3-Go to Arcserve path and find the 00000001.QSD
(Better to take a copy to diffrenent location of
00000001.QSD before you do any chnages.

4-Delete the corrponding job
5-STart the Job Engine
6-Recreate the job again

Note:You may try to save the Job as script ASX and then
reload it if it is important.

7-Apply the patch which handel this problem from the link

Quick tip.

If you can't find the job ID then open each of the jobs in Note Pad. ( As described in the above directory ).

The first line of the job will be the description of the job =-)

After reading the posting from mohamdr, I went to the link and found that the latest patch does not require the deletion of the job ID. Just apply the patch according to their instructions!

Thanks for the info!

Bob

Hi fuego007,
You are totally correct deletion of the job id is only a workaround since applying the patch may take time.

If I delete the job that's having the problem, it then lists the job as corrupted and I still can't remove it. I tried the patch also, but I still have the same problem.

any ideas?
