Stop/Start CE 8.0 from the comand line

We do not have SQL Server so we have been using the MSDE to run CE. However, when we do our nightly backup, we always get a file locked error on the database files. We set up the backup software to shut down SQL server. However, this causes errors in the APS. I'd like to be able to command line the entire shut-down of CE, then Sql Server, then back up, the restart everything.

Anyone ever had this issue / find a good solution?

I think it may depend on your Operating System, but the freebie resource kits for NT/2000/ME all have utilities to do this, you may have to get the approriate ones (you didn't share what OS you're running on).

For Windows 2000 (and perhaps others), use:
