Stop proxy details being changed?

Hey guys, is there a way I can stop users changing the proxy details within internet explorer?

Disable that feature in Active Directory.

There's no AD in place. Thought there would be some other way?

You can force the proxy through your firewall. Make the access-list so that the only way users can get acces to the web is through that particular server IP and port. Or, you can do it through DHCP (option 252 I think)or DNS (proxy.pac/WPAD)

you can set this via a local policy...

start/run/gpedit.msc
then go to computer configuration/Administrative templates/Internet explorer
Here you find "Disable changing proxy settings"

(of course if they are all admins, they could change it back)
