Hi,

I have a load of elements in a document some of which I can drag-copy and drop. When I start to drag an element (keeping the left button down) both firefox and ie start hilighting the underlying element text (and all it's neighbours) as it would do if I were not dragging the element but just moving the mouse with the left button pressed. I want to turn this "native" hilighting off. I have tried cancelling the bubble of the mousedown event but it does not seem to work.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

There have been a few questions asking this recently - at least one that was in the last few months which I answered fairly comprehensively. Try using the search facility to track it down, or view all my posts and look through them.

Hope this helps,
Dan
