Hi there,

We used to have a reception area with 2 2250s, these now are not in place, but the revert to 0 goes to a standard programmed phone in reception that is manned by our security team. All numbers that are within our DDI range but are not programmeed on the switch, when dialled route through to this 2216. I want to change this and have set up an announcement service in Meridian mail. I want that these calls revert to the dn ( i can set this up as CDN with forward to mail, or as a hunt group) i have set up for the announcement service.

We still have the 2250s programmed on the switch, and are hesistant to remove these.

Hane you any ideas how i can do what i want to do?

help as always much appreciated

ld 21 prt rdr.. redirect data controls that. the problem with ddi numbers is you can't send them to mail because mail will just say the user does not subscribe to this service.. you can use the cdb prompt vnr and a ran to tell the caller that they have reached a non working number.. state side we have to give answer supervision on all did numbers, the next prompt after vnr is for a route number.. if you need the code for rdr let us know, someone will post it

Can I ask what is the nite dn that you have set up. Look in the CDB under the NIT gateway.

ld 21 prt nite. that is the catch IF your 2250 is in nights or removed.. ld 49 prt idc, if those are in use, they can cause a problem if your removing the consoles

I have found where to do the change.

NIT in the NIT_Data was pointing to the reception phone. However, it does not like it if i put this to the number on forward to voicemail.. it brings the revert dn accross .. and says that no mail box exists, i can change this to a real phone no problem anywhere.. but if it is on call forward to voicemail .. it skips it as above.

I have also tried.. pointing it to a phantom phone. which is in default call forward to a cdn that has a script in symposium.. however.. it doesnt hit the script.. it falls straight to the acd queue..

i'm stumped!

Also, the IDC table is clear, it isnt catching anything.
The 2250 are in night mode for sure as they are not connected.

I just want to point these calls to some sort of announcement. The only other way around it i can think of is to have a normal phone set up.. hide it in a cupboard and let it ring to voicemail.. rather than forward to voicemail..

i am running out of ideas!

So i got it to work!, as above, i just forgot to aquire the CDN in symposium doh!

NIT changed to point to a phantom extension which is on default call forward to a CDN .. going to a script!

thanks for all your help!
