Hi there
I've just had a request from one of my users. We recently upgraded him from Excel 2000 to Excel 2003.
He has two files, file A and file B, file B updates certain cells from file A.
He tells me that since his upgrade to 2003 these links are updating automatically even if file A is not open at the same time as file B. I said 'isn't that meant to happen?' he replied that in Excel 2000 the links would only update if both files were open at the same time.
I would like to know if there is a way to stop excel automatically updating links between files but still maintain the automatic calculation?
I've had a look on the forum but can't find anything relevant. Any help would be great
Thanks in advance
Jay
