I just read my post and I didn't like it much. What I meant was I think I know the answer (You don't turn off this feature), but I'm anxious to hear what others know about this. The security patch to Outlook 2000 caused a real problem for these kinds of applications and you can't uninstall it or change any option to cause it to stop doing that. The only fix is to uninstall Office and re-install it.

I sure hope someone knows a better way to fix this problem. Dwayne Streeter, CPA, CITP

I'm surprized that there are no authoritive responses here. I have a "hacker's" solution that is working for me. I changed my default mail program to Outlook Express and it will send my mail without delay. I still use Outlook for my regular mail system and as long as I avoid receiving mail on Express it's working OK for me. Dwayne Streeter, CPA, CITP

looks like it's just you and me Dwayne
I can't use Express - I need the Ex Server address book.
anyway this is all I can find so far Q262631 on TechNet
Thx for keeping an eye out
