After you restore a full backup of a Windows XP installation, you may receive the following Stop error message: STOP: 0xc0000139 Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point LdrEnumerateLoadedModules could not be located in the dynamic link library Ntdll.dll.
After you receive this error message, the computer may automatically restart. After this error message occurs, you may not be able to start the computer in Safe mode.
"The procedure entry point LdrEnumerateLoadedModules could not be located in the dynamic link library Ntdll.dll”
WinXP Repair (You must be able to start your computer from the Windows XP CD to run Windows Setup). After the repair process has been completed, install Windows XP SP1.
After you repair your Windows XP installation, you may have to reactivate your copy of Windows XP.
This problem does not occur if you use the Automated System Recovery (ASR) Wizard to create the backup, and then restore the backup by using ASR.
It would help a lot if your report on what .DLL is complaining about your system.
I suspect though that Greg is right that you will have to reinstall XP.
Two thoughts:
1. Try expanding the missing .DLL in Recovery Console. The file will be located on the XP Cd in the \i386 folder, and it likely will be compressed. From the Recovery Console "uncompress" the file and replace the faulty module (likely in c:\windows\system32).
For example, if it is complaining about the file kernel32.dll you would in Recovery Console:
(d: being whatever is your CD Drive)
Compressed files have underscores as their last character in their filename, and you must supply the missing character when you expand the file.
To avoid reactivation if you are forced to reinstall, make a copy while in Recovery Console of wpa.dbl and place it somewhere safe. WPA.DBL will be found in your c:\windows\system32 directory. Copy it to a new location so that after reinstallation you can overwrite the wpa.dbl file with this saved version.
