Stop a User from entering certain duplicates

Hi ALL

Hope you are well!!

I was wondering if there is any possible way to stop a user from selecting a specific option if it has already been selected from the drop down list.

If the Dispatched, First Sent Check, Back from Check has already been selected then I don't want the user to beable to select it again. But I want the to be able to select the rest of the options such as issue, resolved more than once. So I can't use no duplicates in the selection.

What would be the best way to achieve this.

Some clarification, are the Dispatched, First Sent Check, Back from Check different comboboxes or just one? It isn't very clear from your post.
There is way when an item is selected from a combobox, it will be deleted from the list so the next time it's used it won't appear. But I don't know if this is what you mean.

Yeah it is just in one combo box.

It is basically a workflow section, to see how far you are the creating the product.

This is done in a subform with a datasheet view.
