Hi all,

I just installed a new BIOS, tweaked the registry to "EnableBigLba", installed the latest VIA 4-in-1 drivers,
and installed a Maxtor 160 GB harddisk.

After that the drive works fine, but now every now and than this STOP 0x1E occurs. I got the feeling that it is somehow related with usage of Internet Explorer.

The exact STOP message is:
STOP 0x1E (0xC0000005, 0xA00008E0, 0x0, 0x108)
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
*** Address A00008E0 base at A0000000 Datestamp
3f1dc99c - WIN32K.sys

Windows 2000 specifics:
5.00.2195
Service Pack 4

Kind regards,
Arie
