The drive status LED on the back of one of our T10K drives is solid amber, which indicates (in the T10k manual) "boot monitor" What is this, and how do I get it out of this? I dont know how it could have gotten into this mode in the first place.

Also does not accept connection by VOP.

Usually when a STK tape drive comes up in boot monitor mode, even the 9840/9940 drives, they have lost or corrupted their firmware. There is not much you can do to re-load firmware if you can't communicate with it. So the drive probably has a bad processor board. If you have access to parts, a card swap would fix the problem.

We had it up and running here before we shipped it so I suppose it must have been something in shipping. What may have caused this?

Which card are you referring to? We have another T10K here that if they ship this one back to us we can test the card issue, although I do not want to do that at this point.

I swapped the board with another drive and it worked. But need a spare now, does anyone know where I can get one for a T10Ka?
