STK L20-AS2000-Ultrium LTO1 Import problem

I just get 2 new packages of Ultrium LTO1 tapes(200G - i use the same ones at lest 3years) and when i start importing the tape the importing never ends and i have to remove the tape by opening the drawer and take it out. But then if i put one old LTO1 tape everything is ok. I tried with 5 new LTO1s. ArcServe reports error 6300 (scsi port error-problem with sending a scsi command to scsi device module:media engine) w2000 event viewer: SCSI did not respond within the timeout period (Event id 9,source: aic78xx). I also do the cleaning (cleaning tape).

IBM Server x234
Win 2000 Server SP4
ArcServe 2000 v7.0 (build 1100)
SCSI adaptec 2940 u/uw
